Allison looked up when he said that they weren’t even, definitely not expecting that. She was completely caught off guard with his question, trying to come up with an answer. Her mind was all over the place it was pretty hard to focus when you didn’t even know what was on your mind right now. “I, I,” she stumbled again, God what was she going to say? She wanted to say something to get this awkwardness over with, but what? What he then said definitely caught her off guard, the times she wished he had said that just a while ago when no one likes her and no one would get hurt, though that seemed to be the theme of her life right now. No matter what she did or what/who she chose, someone got hurt which was why reaching for the gun wasn’t as hard as it should’ve been. She really had to stop thinking because the thought of that made tears well up in her eyes again as she slightly nodded. “I have to tell you something,” she mumbled as she looked down again. “I-I had a boyfriend after we, uh, and he left and um,” she wasn’t that bad at talking to people but talking about feelings was not something she did for fun. “I don’t like being committed to someone,” she whispered, feeling bad because it was exactly the reason why whenever something seemed to be heading the right direction with someone she kind of intentionally screwed it up.

And there went the landmine, Jason thought with a blank expression. He felt like he’d been punched in the gut, the explanation stung much more than he thought it would. He nodded. “It’s my fault,” he whispered trying to force himself to smile. “I understand, it’s cool.” He told her trying to keep the smile on his face and keep his composer. Jason couldn’t be angry at her, he was the one who turned her down when she showed interest. He was the one who ran off and came back 6 months later thinking everything would be peachy. He quietly cursed himself as he moved to crawl under the covers of the bed. He didn’t know if Allison would choose to follow behind him or sleep in another room.

Allison could feel the awkwardness rise to the surface again, just like old times. “I guess it wouldn’t be too bad to stay here for now,” she said with a simply shrug as she got up from the bed. She watched George walk into the room, which caused her to miss her own dog even more than she had when she was locked up. She petted the dog for a quick second and walked to stand in front of Jason. “Listen, I just, I,” she muttered, not being able to come out of her words though she had no idea what she wanted to say. She thought about Jacob and how she didn’t want to hurt him anymore but then again, she was dead with no clue for how long. If -A wanted she’d be here for months, he’d probably move on and if not she’d just be here, playing dead. Quickly she tiptoed up and leaned in to kiss him, returning the kiss that was a long time overdue now. “I guess we’re even now,” she mumbled, a small smile on her face as she continued to look at his shirt.

Jason half closed the door to his room, leaving enough room for George to come and go freely. He stood there for a moment watching her closely as she stammered out a half sentence before walking over to him. He was caught off guard by the kiss. Jesus, what the hell was going on? When she pulled away he groaned softly. “No, we’re not even.” He countered, glancing around the room to avoid her gaze. “Do you want me or not?” He questioned looking right at her face now. He wasn’t about to play games with her, she needed to make up her mind. He wasn’t going to force her to, he had no idea what the hell was going on in her head or her love life. He stood there for a long moment, “because I want you.” He whispered softly looking over to the bed. He realized that tonight when he found out she was willing to take her life to save someone else, he knew then that what he felt for her wasn’t just some weird flirting, he was genuinely interested in Allison. He was terrified of what would happen next, did he say too much? This whole situation was fucked beyond believe and Jason couldn’t tell what was solid ground or a landmine waiting to blow.

Allison couldn’t help but wonder if he really forgot or that her not so seriousness just made him not want to tell. There was never a good time with Allison since she never stayed serious for more than two minutes. “Sleep is for wimps.” Sure she wasn’t going to fool anyone but without her medication who was to say she wasn’t going to have nightmares again yet she wasn’t going to tell him how badly she needed those. “Okay,” she replied to his offer, though it didn’t really answer yes or no. “So, do you remember again?” she was too curious to let it go so one way or another she’d find a way.

“I’m a major whimp then.” He confessed with a yawn. “Nope,” he said crawling out of the bed. He walked over to the door and called George in with a couple clicks of his tongue. “You staying in here or?” He asked walking back over to the edge of the bed so he could see her face. He didn’t want to push her away or make her feel force to stay in here with him, he just wanted to comfort her to the best of his ability. He had a feeling that those pills were much more important than she led on, but he knew she made her point and there was no use in arguing. They just had to make due.

Allison didn’t mind the kiss much, heck she had been kissing loads of people but after you thought you were going to die. t was kind of an odd moment but she could somewhat understand, though she hoped her brothers wouldn’t be greeting her like that one day. “Well that depends, can you?” she said with a smirk, she knew it was ‘serious’ time but she couldn’t hold on to that for very long. “So whats up?” she asked, finally looked up at him since to her serious time was kinda over which meant that eye contact wasn’t like looking into her soul or some shit.

Jason’s face changed from serious to laughing in two seconds flat. He hated how easy it was for her to do that to him. “Brat,” he teased. He thought over what he was going to say, she was so quick to make everything a funny he started to rethink if this was really a good time. “Nevermind, I forgot” he lied, “I guess it wasn’t that important.” He said with a shrug. “I’m beat.” He announced rubbing his hands over his face. “Aren’t you ready to get some real sleep?” He couldn’t imagine how tired she was. “You can sleep in here, if you’d want.” He offered plainly but sincerely.

Allison didn’t know whether he really didn’t know what she was thankful for or that he just wanted his ego fed but she went for it anyway. “For not being an asshole,” she replied and added another part to it. “Most of the time.” She felt like they were going to end up in a cheesy movie soon, she almost felt the need to quote Juno too but she decided against it on second thought. “I shouldn’t have pushed you away,” she mumbled softly, staring in the direction of his shirt, not wanting to look up at him. She tried to stop this every time the feelings resurfaced but now she decided not to care about other people outside this house and how they would feel about this.

Jason chuckled, “Well, um, thanks for that?” he mumbled smiling back at her. He’d watched enough chick flicks to know it was going to get really mushy between them from him on out. Part of him wasn’t bothered by that, but another part of him wanted to gag because of how awful some romance movies turned out. He wouldn’t allow whatever was between them to get overly lame. He listened to her and let out a soft sigh. Jason felt the weird butterflies rising up from his stomach, moving their way through his lungs and he knew they’d fly out as he spoke. God, since when did he get so emotional and retarded over shit. “I shouldn’t have came on so strong,” he muttered back still keeping his gaze on her face even though she refused to meet it. He wanted to finally tell her how he felt, was it really a good time though? Should he wait? Should he tell her at all? He didn’t want to push things on her all at once, especially with everything that was happening. “Can I tell you something?” He asked her softly.

Allison kicked the blankets off of her when he finally agreed with her, clapping. “Let’s hope I haven’t been on the news or anything, I’ll be famous,” she grinned, amused by her own train of thought, then she realized that no one would probably know because then the cops would have a reason to find the house and end -A’s game. She kind of ignored her question and went with talking about her next train of thought. “You know what, I’m kind of okay with this. No one is pressuring me or nagging at me all the time. And I don’t have to go to school, no more homework. I’m just going to stay here forever,” she shrugged her shoulders with a grin before she rolled over the bed again, stopping when she was practically one roll away from being on top of him. “Hi,” she said with sly smirk before she leaned in to place a kiss on his cheek, knowing it wouldn’t be fair to kiss him elsewhere after her outburst. “Thank you,” she whispered, placing her head on his shoulder.

Jason couldn’t help but chuckle. “You’re something else.” He muttered to himself softly, a smile pulling at his lips. He felt her move, he turned his head to look at her and was taken back a little by how close she was to him. “Hi” he echoed with a grin, the grin grew after she placed her lips to his cheek. “For?” He asked slightly confused by the sudden show of affection. She was an emotional roller coaster. Jason couldn’t tell if he’d be sick when he got off or want to go again, maybe that was the point of the thrill of it all.

Allison’s disgusted face just kept returning at Jason’s joking. She knew that once his mind was made up he probably wasn’t going to change it so she just gave in, though she wasn’t happy with it. “What if it won’t be easy to pull off and someone is home? Medication isn’t worth it,” she simply said, caught off guard at his question. “Well, you know, sleeping and stuff,” she said, shrugging, trying to make it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. Though there was no way she was going to tell him what they were really for, in combination with what happened earlier she would be shipped into a mental ward for the rest of her life. “If my mom finds out about me by tomorrow she’ll probably be home for weeks so, it’s not safe,” she said as she laid down again, pulling the end of the sheets over her and rolled herself up in it. When she was tired her brain just went into embarrassing child mode or something. She didn’t want to sleep because she was certain she was going to wake up in that room again.

Jason let out a frustrated sigh. “You’re the freaking worst.” He scoffed throwing himself back on the bed. She was right, it was way too risky. What if she was lying and those meds were actually extremely important. He didn’t know what to do, it felt like more than just meds at stake here. “Damn it” he muttered softly realizing his defeat. He looked over to her before sighing again. “I guess we’ll go to the next town over to get you what you need tomorrow…” He looked back at the ceiling. “Why don’t you sleep?” He asked watching the ceiling fan spin around.

Allison made a sour face when he said the whole filling briefs thing, now she couldn’t not wonder about the whole package dealio. “I think I’ll just become a nudist until tomorrow,” she said, still with a disgusted look on her face. “He’s climbing through your window, snatching your underwear up,” she said, doing some sort of spooky hands vs jazz hands thing. “Also if you have cooties then I will probably really die tomorrow because your clothes are filled with them. Which, by the way, are totally my size,” she stretched her arms, showing how she was practically drowning in the shirt. She was back to her usual self, joking about everything instead of being serious though that would probably last until -A made her come out of hiding and she’d be guilt tripped for pretending to be dead. It was probably a good thing she didn’t have her phone so now she couldn’t check on her friends. “You know, you don’t have to break into my house. Can’t we just go to a town near and buy the necessary things there, I’m fine without medication, most of the time.” she tried to sound convincing but she really didn’t want Jason to get caught and having to explain. “I’ll wear a mustache and I’ll pay you back.”

Jason furrowed his eyebrows together. “Sure you would.” He shot back sarcastically. “Boohoo” he mocked a crying face, “you’re stuck wearing big slightly uncomfy man clothes for a whole 24 hours.” He gave her a serious look as he thought over her suggestion. “I’d rather you have your meds…” He said smoothly. He loved Allison to death, but he didn’t think he could take any more of her emotional outburst. He expected enough as it was with the situation at hand, he had hope that the meds might at least take an edge off. “I’m sure it’ll be easy to pull off.” He assured her. “What kind of meds are they, anyways?”

“What are you going to say? I have a dead chick hiding in my house? But I guess if you can afford it then I won’t mind.” She didn’t really want to drag him into this more than needed, especially since he was already planning to break into her house. She nodded at his question but then shook her head, she didn’t want to sleep, not now. She watched him as he got the bottle and scrunched up her nose when she saw it was already half empty. “Yugh. Germs,” she said before she got up from the bed and walked back to the bathroom to get her own bottle. “This will sound creepy but when you break into my house, please bring me some underwear that doesn’t have a bulge. This shit is uncomfortable,” she laughed a little as she sat down on the bed again.

Jason chuckled and shook his head. “Uh no,” he smirked “I’ll say my parents are coming into town… or something.” He shrugged, that wasn’t the point. “I don’t really have to give them a reason, I just have to say personal matters.” He rolled her eyes, “I thought girls stopped believing in cooties when they were like… eight.” He laughed, “It’s not so bad when you have something to fill it with.” He grinned. Do you need some bras too?” There was no way in hell he’d be able to remember all this with his mind racing while he broke into her house. “Just write it all down. I’ll forget if you don’t.”

Allison squinted her eyes at him when he said he was going to break in, especially when he asked if she had a spare key. “That’s like stealing something after paying for it,” she joked and rolled onto her side. She knew they had a spare key somewhere but she never remembered where, they needed it now so she tried to remember as best as possible. “I think.. There’s this flower pot with just dirt in it and it’s under there but there’s like a plastic side hanging over the pot and you can just lift up all the sand and shit by lifting that up. It should be under there,” she wasn’t entirely sure but something was better than nothing. “And my room is pretty easy to climb in and out of, last week me and Lidia climbed out of my window and ran into the woods while we were drunk. Anyway, my mom works like every day, same times as you obviously.”

Jason did his best to follow what she was saying. He nodded hoping he understood it all correctly. “I’ll have to call into work…” he murmured thinking aloud. He paused to think everything over “Maybe I should take off til further notice.” He chuckled, “This is going to be fun.” He looked down at her watching her for a moment before he spoke again. “I’ll do it tomorrow morning.” He told her. “You sleepy?” he asked, knowing her answer but asked anyways. He snatched a half drunk bottle of water from his bedside table. “Drink!” He demanded tossing it closer to her.
