Jason really felt for Teddy. It was hard enough for him dealing with the diagnoses of his mother, he couldn’t imagine how it was effecting him. Jason glanced up to see he was now in front of him, he felt Teddy studying him but ignored it and continued to grade. “My job sucks.” Jason said with a laugh without looking up. He finished the last paper and set it off in the stack. Jason looked back up at Teddy. “So,” He muttered awkwardly glancing around the room. “What do you like to do for fun?” He asked plainly finally looking back at him. (Source: jasonhasting) |
Jason glanced up to Teddy as he reached for the next paper from the stack. “Sorry to hear that about your mom.” He told him sincerely. “My mom is getting pretty sick, too.” He continued moving his eyes back to the papers. Jason’s mom had recently been diagnosed with cancer. He planned on visiting home in a few weeks to visit and check up on her. He listened to Teddy’s question and thought over his answer as he checked the last couple of answers. “Well,” he said shifting the paper into the ‘done’ stack and grabbing another. “I needed a job and they said they’d give it to me.” He shrugged. “What do you wanna do?” (Source: jasonhasting) |
Jason took the remaining stack for himself and started to grade them. It was quiet until Teddy said his name, not Mr. Hasting but Jason. The gesture caught him off guard but he ignored it. He heard his question but he didn’t respond right away. “Um, I play guitar.” He said blandly still not looking up from the papers. “What about you?” He shot back. Jason wasn’t one to let things make him feel uncomfortable, but it was pretty clear this kid was a little weird. He shrugged it off and continued grading. (Source: jasonhasting) |
Jason sighed when the bell finally ran. “Don’t forget the homework!” he shouted as the students filed out of the room. He rubbed his hands over his eyes, the day was almost done. Thank God. He glanced back up when he saw one of his students coming toward his desk. “What’s up, Teddy?” Jason asked smoothly trying to seem like he really cared. He was a bit surprised and slightly confused by what Teddy wanted to stay back and help him with. It was a media class, not a math class, it wasn’t like he could help him grade or anything. “Um, sure.” He said forcing a smile trying to think of something for Teddy to help him with. He remembered the stack of quizzes he needed to grade. “I have some quizzes you can help me grade.” He said looking up to him. (Source: jasonhasting) |

Jason sat behind his desk, attempting to look like he actually gave a shit. He was positive he was failing but he couldn’t seem to give a shit about that, either. Every few minutes he’d stand up and walk around the room to make sure the students weren’t too off task, then end up back at his desk. He opened a new web window on his desktop and started looking up stupid videos on youtube to pass the time. This class was never going to end. |
